Chapter 4: Don’t stop
GEN. 11:31-32, 12:1-7
Life is continuity. If you will ever succeed, what happened to you in life shouldn’t be what will discourage you from continuing or from being on motion. It took Abraham courage to organize him and his house hold to embark on the journey. People who easily give in (heed) to discouragement, can never see themselves succeed; but for those who are greatly encourage, inspite of what happened to them, success is guaranteed.
The survival of the fittest is not for those who are easily discouraged, but for those who are courageous to fit in themselves into that very plan or purpose of God for them no matter what. Abraham’s journey was a risk; it wasn’t his plans but Gods’. Be prepared to make moves that are ordered by God if not, you will not succeed. When God orders your journey, He will make provision and protection as long as you are willing to follow His principles for the journey, you will get there.
Many people want to get to their destination in life, expecting not to encounter discouragement, oppositions, and confrontations. If such is your mind-set, you will be highly disappointed if you come across one of them; but if you have the mind-set that one is bound to come across the unexpected, then you are prepared to face life oppositions and conquer it. Having the mind-set of not expecting to face life’s challenges comes as a result of lack of knowledge or not being well informed. Before Joshua embarked on the journey after the death of Moses he was pre-informed by God (Josh. 1:1, 5-9).
In the course of the journey of life, there are things that will make you turn, things that will make you not to continue or move on. In the case of Joshua, he was well informed of his assignment but to Abraham, at the beginning, he was not informed as Joshua, but rather, “God said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy fathers house unto a land that I will shew thee: (Gen, 12:1).”
Ministers and their ministries are different in operations based on different assignment and commission given to them by God.
Don’t imbibe other ministers and their ministries
Operations into yours because,
The assignments to everyone differ.
If you do, you limit your vision.
Although, ministries are different in operations but they have one common goal, purpose and aim which is to win souls to the kingdom of God. Therefore, just accept the way God works with you if it is not as others, and don’t criticize others if they are not like you because you are unique in your own way (1Cor. 12:4-6)
This message is an eye opening to those of you who are myopic (narrow minded), who are thinking towards one direction of Gods operation. Having the knowledge and understanding of this very message, you will not easily conclude ministers and their ministries that you don’t understand their level or way of operation yet. Your duty to God is to face your assignment and not to interfere or be busy over another man’s assignment.
But let none of you suffer as a murderer,
or as a thief, or as an evildoer,
or as a busybody in other men’s matters.(Pet. 4:15b).
In your journey and work with God, as He directs you, new things are bound to come in the process that you don’t understand; DON’T STOP, MOVE ON WITH HIM IN OBEDIENCE, and what you don’t understand, ask Him for the grace of understanding for your continuity, instead of doubting yourself and your operation and then, being busy criticizing others, by so doing, surly you will get there as you apply this piece of information; DON’T STOP!!!
Grace for advancement is what it takes to break barriers.
The power or force that goes with
Those who are willed mind
Makes them unstoppable.
As long as you are willing and determined to move on with God, Heaven will not withhold or cease to supply all it takes for you to get there. YOU WILL GET THERE, DON’T BE DISCOURAGED. Those who are waiting to see you fall, they will see you rising from glory to glory, those who are waiting to see you stop, they will see you on motion speedily, non-stop in Jesus name. Amen!!!
In the course of the journey of Abram, there were contentions between him and his brother Lot (GEN. 13:7-11). Abraham by wisdom asked his brother Lot to choose which way he will go and he (Lot) choose not by insight (revelation) but by sight (human) but immediately Lot left him (Abraham), he had another vision, revelation form God. God spoke. Lot is likened to someone who has being serving in a ministry and when he has become successful, he feels he has all it takes to be on his own. Lot took heed to his maters word immediately without a second thought, without consideration or a humble reply.
• Lot knows his master very well that he is a prophet, and that even the journey that they are embarking on was not by Abraham but by God.
As leader, don’t hold back those who want to leave you
Because, if you do,
They might become problem to you and your ministry.
• “Is not the whole land before thee? Separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go the right hand; or if thou depart to the right, then I will go to the left.” (Gen. 13: 9) This statement of Abraham could have been a test to Lot; but immediately, the Bible says that in verse 10a “And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere,” because Lot felt that he has all it takes to go on his own, start on his own and become a master of his own, Lot immediately choose.
“BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALL IT TAKES TO BE ON YOUR OWN EVEN WHEN SERVING, NOT A CRITERIA FOR YOU TO BE ON YOUR OWN WHEN YOU ARE NOT THROUGH SERVING; LEAVING SHOULD BE BY GOD’S DIRECTIVES.”
• Immaturity: – Lot lacks immaturity because his attitude displayed in his response, wasn’t a matured reply.
Don’t claim maturity because you have what is takes to do your own (the finance or skills) if not, you will shatter your future by your immature attitude.
